On 21 May 2020 Minister for Employment, Skills, Small and Family Business, Senator the Hon Michaelia Cash and Assistant Minister for Vocational Education, Training and Apprenticeships, The Hon Steve Irons MP announced a new skill set to support aged and disability sectors. The development of this skill set was led by the Human Services Care Skills Organisation Pilot and will enable new workers to be rapidly deployed with the essential entry level skills they need to help boost the ranks of the care and support sectors.
