The Foundation Skills for Your Future Program
The program supports employed and recently unemployed Australians who need flexible training in:
- Reading
- Writing
- Maths
- English language
- Digital skills
Approved Service Providers can submit applications to deliver the following types of projects:
Employer Workplace Training
- Workplace training projects that are employer or industry-specific
- Either accredited or non-accredited training aimed at up to Certificate II level
Personalised skills training
- Personalised skills training is delivered with a client centred approach
- Provides tailored accredited or non-accredited training aimed up to Certificate II level
- The training is flexible to accommodate your lifestyle and learning needs

Service Providers
Approved Service Providers deliver the Foundation Skills for Your Future Program by:
- Working with employers and businesses in their area
- Developing and delivering the program across Australia.

- Search for a Service Provider in your area
- Check the training provider list

Employers
A Service Provider can help you:
- Decide whether your employee could use skills development training
- Develop tailored accredited and/or non-accredited training for the workplace
This includes:
- Identifying workplace and employee skills needs
- Working together to develop a training model that supports the workplace environment
- Supporting participants to maximise the training benefits
- Evaluating the effectiveness of the skills training

Individuals
To take part in the Program, you'll need to be:
- An Australian citizen or permanent resident
- Aged 15 and over
- Finished with secondary school education
- Currently employed or recently unemployed (within the past 9 months)
- Not currently registered with an Australian Government employment service provider or enrolled in a similar program
