Local Recovery Funds

A Local Recovery Fund is available in the Gold Coast region for projects that meet the priorities identified in the Local Jobs Plan.

Projects will be identified for funding through periodic Request for Proposals (RFP).

Please contact your local Employment Facilitator for information about the Local Recovery Fund and to discuss project proposals.

The Salvation Army Employment Plus This activity is a tailored employment pathway into the catering sector for the health and social services industry. The activity will deliver pre-employment training in entry skill sets, mentoring, career coaching, volunteer placement and accredited training to support participants in employment in the Wivenhoe, Brisbane South East, Gold Coast and Somerset Employment Regions. Training will be delivered onsite at Meals on Wheels to achieve real work experience of roles within a kitchen environment.
Gold Coast and Wivenhoe Cleaning Industry Initiative Springmount Services Pty Ltd Sarina Russo Job Access The activity is designed to meet cleaning industry labour needs in the Gold Coast and Wivenhoe Employment Regions. It will see a minimum of 50 job seekers referred to the activity who will be provided with job readiness support, pre-employment skills and accredited training and referred to entry-level or supervisory role vacancies in the cleaning industry.
Barbering Pre-Employment Program Enterprise & Training Company Limited Enterprise & Training Company Limited The activity involves a pre-employment program to upskill and reskill up to 40 eligible job seekers within the barbering industry in the Gold Coast Employment Region. It will deliver 4 weeks of pre-employment training to job seekers and support them to engage in immersive training and employment with local barbering services in the region.
