The Review of the Closing Loopholes Acts is calling for submissions from all interested stakeholders. Submissions close on 3 March 2026.
The Government has combined the reviews of the Fair Work Legislation Amendment (Closing Loopholes) Act 2023 and the Fair Work Legislation Amendment (Closing Loopholes No. 2) Act 2024 into a single review, the Closing Loopholes Review.
The review will also further consider the effectiveness of the paid family and domestic violence leave entitlement legislated in the Fair Work Amendment (Paid Family and Domestic Violence Leave) Act 2022.
The Hon Amanda Rishworth MP, Minister for Employment and Workplace Relations, has appointed Ms Susan Booth to conduct the review.
‘This independent review is an opportunity for stakeholders and interested parties to have their views heard on the Closing Loopholes Acts. I want to hear from across the community about how this legislation is working,’ said Ms Booth.
The review is seeking your views on whether the amendments are operating appropriately and effectively, and any improvements that could be made. The review also invites submissions on any unintended consequences and how they could be addressed.
‘I am also interested in case studies that demonstrate how the amendments are operating,’ Ms Booth said.
