Further LLN Programs and Services
These websites provide useful information about language, literacy and numeracy (LLN) programs and services for learners and service providers.
- Adult Learners Week (ALW) – Adult Learners Week (ALW) is celebrated at the beginning of Spring with hundreds of events and activities promoting the benefits of learning. There are so many opportunities to learn available across Australia.
- Australian Council of Adult Literacy – an organisation that supports and promotes equitable literacy and numeracy education.
- My Skills – allows users to search for a course or training provider, view statistics and career opportunities in different industries, obtain training and financial assistance information and learn about the experiences of others.
- Reading Writing Hotline – provides literary and numeracy assistance as well as information about local LLN classes, workplace programs and other resources to support learning.
- training.gov.au – the official national register of VET information for experienced training sector users on training packages, qualifications, courses, units of competency and registered training organisations.
- Adult Migrant English Program (AMEP) - provides up to 510 hours of English language tuition to eligible migrants and humanitarian entrants to help them learn foundation English language and settlement skills to enable them to participate socially and economically in Australian society.
- Foundation Skills for Your Future (FSFYF) Program – supports Australians who need flexible training in reading, writing, maths and digital skills in order to help them up-skill or re-skill for new roles, to obtain and retain secure employment and to undertake further education and training. It supports eligible employed or recently unemployed Australians. Eligible Australians seeking to improve their LLND skills, or employers seeking to develop workforce LLND skills, can access the Program by linking with a Service Provider.
- Foundation Skills for Your Future (FSFYF) Remote Community Pilots – deliver tailored and flexible foundation Language, Literacy, Numeracy and Digital literacy (LLND) skills, assessment and training. The Pilots will meet local community needs in each of the four selected remote communities located in NT, WA, SA and Northern QLD. Each Pilot will improve the LLND skills of community members in these remote communities, identify and develop systemic approaches to LLND skills training delivery in remote communities and inform future program delivery, new funding arrangements and changes to existing programs such as the SEE program.
