Consultation has commenced for proposed changes to fees charged for some Trades Recognition Australia assessment services

The Department of Education, Skills and Employment (the Department) is seeking feedback on a proposal to change the fees charged by Trades Recognition Australia (TRA) for skills assessment services provided under the Job Ready Program (JRP), Migration Skills Assessment (MSA) and Migration Points Advice (MPA) from 1 September 2021.

The Consultation Paper provides information on the proposed changes and how TRA will operate on a cost recovery basis from 1 September 2021. Fees have not been reviewed since they were first introduced in 2010 for the JRP and 2013 for the MSA and MPA.

Before work advances to facilitate the changes, the Department seeks feedback on the proposal from participants and stakeholders in the skilled migration sector.
