Report on the Review of Safe Work Australia's Role and Functions
Outcomes
The Review found that there is consensus among stakeholders that Safe Work Australia, with its strong framework for tripartite engagement, provides an effective forum for engagement on the development of national WHS policy and workers compensation arrangements.
The Review recommends amendments to the SWA Act to clarify Safe Work Australia's role and to update, consolidate and simplify Safe Work Australia's functions to ensure these are clear, achievable and support Safe Work Australia's role into the future.
