The employer is looking for people who:

  • are keen to learn
  • are reliable and punctual
  • have good communication skills
  • are friendly
  • are honest
  • are flexible to work on both weekdays and/or weekends.

Prerequisites required:

  • No pre-existing medical conditions that would prevent you from standing for long periods of time.
  • Ability to pass a police check and attain a Working with Children Check (i.e. blue card).
  • Ability to use computers.
  • Conversational level of English to be able to understand and accurately respond to customer enquiries.

  • Life and workplace skills training tailored to the role.
  • Site tour at Cairns Aquarium to see firsthand how a tourist attraction operates and the various systems in place.
  • Mentoring to support your success during the project and when you commence in employment.
