The Instructions outline the process for applying to be appointed as the relevant assessing authority for an occupation(s) and process for transferring an occupation(s) between an incumbent assessing authority and a newly approved assessing authority.
As part of the application process, entities must demonstrate their ability to comply with all sections of the Guiding Principles and Standards for Skilled Migration Assessing Authorities (the Guide). The Guide provides guidance for conducting skills assessments in line with the Best Practice Principles and Standards and sets out how the government conducts assurance of assessing authorities.
