Blueprint for the Future

The Blueprint represents tripartite advice to government to address long-term issues. It acknowledges the challenges facing the industry and sets out meaningful actions to build a stronger, safer and more inclusive industry that works for everyone. It is not the finishing line, but the starting point for long-term structural and cultural reform.

The NCIF has developed the Forward Workplan for the Blueprint. The Forward Workplan complements efforts already underway across governments and industry. The Forward Workplan sets out timeframes and key phases for developing the NCIF’s advice to government, focusing on the 9 priority recommendations agreed at the 27 June 2025 NCIF meeting. This includes a Joint Construction Industry Charter (Recommendation 2.1 of the Blueprint), which represents an industry-first attempt to work together to set shared goals and behavioural expectations for all construction industry participants.

The NCIF will continue to connect with stakeholders and engage across industry so we can work together to create a construction industry that serves all Australians.
