A total of 39 assessing authorities are approved to deliver skills assessments to support applications for skilled migration. Each assessing authority has its own assessment procedures, timeframes, and charges.

Find an Assessing Authority
To find the assessing authority for your occupation, search the skilled occupation list on the Department of Home Affairs website, Skilled occupation list.
The assessing authority roles and responsibilities are set out in the Guiding Principles and Standards for Skilled Migration Assessing Authorities (the Guide).
Announcement: The Hon Minister Giles MP, Minister for Skills and Training, has approved the appointment of the Institution of Surveyors New South Wales (ISNSW) as the new assessing authority for the Surveyor occupation (ANZSCO 232212).
However, ISNSW cannot start processing skills assessments yet. This is because they must first be listed in legislative instruments by the Department of Home Affairs under the Migration Regulations 1994.
