About Digital Identity
Your Digital Identity makes accessing government services online simpler, safer and more secure and helps prove who you are when you access our services.
Digital Identity is used to access Australian Government online services including systems managed by this department, such as Workforce Australia Online for individuals, businesses and Employment Providers, and the Apprenticeships Data Management System (ADMS). More departmental systems will transition to Digital Identity in 2022 and 2023.

How to get a Digital Identity
The Australian Government’s Digital Identity app is myGovID. The myGovID app is available to download to your compatible device from the App Store or Google Play.
In most cases, you will only need to establish a Standard identity strength which allows access to most participating online government services.
If you are a principal authority who is listed on an ABN in the Australian Business Register (ABR), getting to a Strong identity strength allows you to link to an ABN online in Relationship Authorisation Manager (RAM).
