The Remote Australia Employment Service (RAES) is the Australian Government’s remote employment service and replaces the Community Development Program (CDP) on 1 November 2025.
The RAES helps job seekers in remote communities by providing a flexible employment service that supports them to upskill, find pathways to work and contribute to their local community.
The service will provide opportunities for around 40,000 job seekers across 1,200 remote communities in RAES regions to build their skills and address barriers to employment. The RAES supports providers to work collaboratively with communities on projects, and with job seekers to understand their needs.
