The Australian Government is seeking feedback on the next stage of its Secure Australian Jobs election commitment, with consultation opening on a draft Secure Australian Jobs Framework and proposed amendments to the Commonwealth Supplier Code of Conduct.
The draft Secure Australian Jobs Framework sets out a transparent, principles-based approach to the Government’s expectations for secure work, fair treatment of workers and good workplace practices in Commonwealth contracts.
To help ensure the Framework is effective and achieves its objectives, the government is inviting feedback from a broad range of stakeholders, including businesses of all sizes, workers and unions, industry groups, not-for-profit organisations and members of the public.
Stakeholders are encouraged to review the draft Framework and proposed amendments to the Supplier Code to provide feedback on their proposed operation and implementation.
Submissions are now open and will close at 11:59pm AEDST on 21 October 2026.
