Download the tools and resources to support First Nations people in clean energy jobs.
The Australian Government is helping people gain the skills needed for clean energy jobs, so that we can reach net zero emissions by 2050. Resources are now available to help improve cultural safety of organisations and inform First Nations people entering the decarbonisation workforce about the career pathways available.
Ninti One, an Aboriginal-owned not-for-profit organisation, worked with the department to develop resources with grounded insights, knowledge and experience to ensure opportunities for First Nations people are maximised with access to clear career pathways information.
These practical resources also include employer and RTO guides that are designed to make sure workplaces and training environments are culturally safe for First Nations students and workers.
The shift to clean energy will also create career opportunities in remote and regional areas. These jobs can include things like installing solar panels, improving energy efficiency, or caring for Country through traditional ecological knowledge and nature positive projects.
The full range of resources, from employer and RTO guides to individual state and territory careers guides are available on the Ninti One website. They will help government, industry, training providers, Jobs and Skills Councils and the broader workforce to help increase First Nations participation in the net zero transition.
