Support for Whyalla Steelworks employees, contractors and supply chain workers

The Australian Government has committed $1.6 million to establish the Whyalla Structural Adjustment Package to support workers and families affected by workforce changes in Whyalla, South Australia. Through this Package, Whyalla Steelworks employees, contractors and supply chain workers, and their eligible partners, can access employment, training and transition support to build new skills, find work and connect with local services. It is aimed to complement existing Australian Government services and provides extra local support where large-scale workforce impacts have occurred.
