Local Recovery Funds

A Local Recovery Fund is available in the Illawarra South Coast region for projects that meet the priorities identified in the Local Jobs Plan.

Projects will be identified for funding through periodic Request for Proposals (RFP).

Please contact your local Employment Facilitator for information about the Local Recovery Fund and to discuss project proposals.

Eden Hospitality Training Hub Eden Community Access Centre Incorporated APM Employment Services This activity will support 20 long term unemployed, youth and Indigenous participants to undertake an industry accredited, pre-employment and employment skills training program to help secure employment in the hospitality industry in Eden and surrounds.
Planting the Seed Campbell Page Limited Campbell Page Limited This activity focuses on skilling young people with limited or no work experience for employment in landcare, forestry, and agriculture. The activity will focus on developing soft skills, such as teamwork and communication, as well as provide hands on experience in basic land management, and accredited training to prepare participants for employment, primarily in areas affected by COVID-19 and bushfires.
Good Gardens Community Resources Limited Campbell Page Limited This activity will deliver a new gardening and landscaping social enterprise activity as part of Green Connect. The activity will support 20 disengaged job seekers aged 15 to 24 years by helping them to overcome multiple and complex barriers to employment. The activity will provide a range of pre-employment activities, including training, work experience and wrap-around services to build participants confidence and ability to transition to employment. It is expected that 12 job seekers will transition to sustainable employment.
The Regional Care Workforce Collaborative Community Industry Group APM Employment Services This activity intends to address negative perceptions inhibiting job seekers from taking up opportunities in aged care and disability services. It will promote working in the sector through a multi-media campaign, facilitate entry of interested and suitable job seekers into relevant training, and directly link job seekers with employers in the sector.
