National Priority Fund Initiatives

National Priority Fund Initiative Organisation Description
The Regional Employment Agricultural Project (REAP) Northern Settlement Services The Regional Employment Agricultural Project (REAP) will match the training and employment needs of participants with local industry needs and economic development priorities and aims to increase the workforce participation of the Armidale Ezidi refugee and other migrant communities in the agriculture industry through training and employment.

The REAP will establish a farming enterprise to deliver practical skills development and experience, formal language training, tailored accredited and non-accredited training as well as providing wrap-around services.

Key community partners, such as the Rotary Club of Armidale, are integral to the project's success of the project through significant contributions such as donating land and expertise.

Mobile Connection Hub Community College – Northern Inland Incorporated The Mobile Connection Hub Initiative aims to provide a mobile community-access point offering access, support and connection to those experiencing digital divide barriers, enabling them to engage with employment options and opportunities. The Mobile Connection Hub – a vehicle equipped with satellite internet both inside the vehicle and within a 20 metre radius – will provide technology and internet access to remote communities within the New England and North West Employment Region, specifically small remote communities within the Moree Shire Plains region.

Additionally, Community College Northern Inland will leverage the Mobile Connection Hub to promote and/or facilitate other wrap-around and complementary programs and services including Language, Literacy, Numeracy and Digital Literacy (LLND) skills.
