Local Recovery Funds
A Local Recovery Fund is available in the Sydney East Metro region for projects that meet the priorities identified in the Local Jobs Plan.
Projects will be identified for funding through periodic Request for Proposals (RFP).
Please contact your local Employment Facilitator for information about the Local Recovery Fund and to discuss project proposals.

This activity builds on the Tribal Warrior Never Going Back program, which successfully transitions male First Nations inmates into the community. The program supports, in a culturally appropriate manner, the physical, mental and emotional health of 20 First Nations ex-offender participants and assists with entry to employment by facilitating linkages with employers outside of standard Human Resource procedures. |

This activity will deliver four, 12-week training bootcamps. Two bootcamps will be IT Fundamentals and Amazon Web Services Cloud bootcamps focusing on recently displaced workers to prepare them for entry-level roles in the technology industry. The other two will be Digital Operations bootcamps focusing on enabling local Indigenous and other youth to gain the digital operations literacy required in modern workplaces, with the opportunity to undertake three Microsoft Certifications - Word, Excel and Powerpoint. Each of the courses will consist of 20 places, totalling 80 places for the activity and will be delivered face to face or through a blend of virtual delivery. Up to 80 participants would be transitioned into employment. |
