Local Recovery Funds

A Local Recovery Fund is available in the Sydney Greater West region for projects that meet the priorities identified in the Local Jobs Plan.

Projects will be identified for funding through periodic Request for Proposals (RFP).

Please contact your local Employment Facilitator for information about the Local Recovery Fund and to discuss project proposals.

Activity Name Organisation Partnering Employment Services Provider Description
Generation Australia’s Sydney Greater West Disability Support Worker Activity (DSW) Generation Australia Ltd The Salvation Army Employment Plus The activity will deliver a 6-week blended face-to-face and online training program to prepare 40 participants for entry-level roles in the disability care sector. Generation Australia will work with local disability care employers to co-design the training content as well as supporting participants with mentoring and career coaching during training and while transitioning to employment.
SGW Intensive Technology Training Program Goanna Solutions Education Pty Ltd     Youth Employment Services (YES) This activity delivers a set of two 12-week training bootcamps to prepare participants for roles in the technology industry. The Cross-Cultural Tech Bootcamp delivers IT Fundamentals and Amazon Web Services Cloud training to upskill and reskill displaced workers, migrants, Indigenous Australians, and refugee participants. The Diversity Plus Digital Operations Bootcamp engages young people to develop their workplace digital operations literacy, attain industry certifications, and deliver pathways into entry-level IT roles. Up to 50 participants will participate in one of the two training programs and receive ongoing mentoring and support. It is expected 15 to 20 paid internships, job opportunities and traineeships will be available for participants through this activity.
