Local Recovery Funds

A Local Recovery Fund is available in the Darling Downs region for projects that meet the priorities identified in the Local Jobs Plan.

Projects will be identified for funding through periodic Request for Proposals (RFP).

Please contact your local Employment Facilitator for information about the Local Recovery Fund and to discuss project proposals.

Traffic Management Employment Darling Downs Project Verifact Traffic Pty Ltd CoAct Connect and Busy At Work This activity involves a tailored employment pathway into the traffic management sector. Participants will be reskilled and upskilled into roles by way of entry level skill sets in traffic control licences, work readiness skills, the goal being job retention. The activity will deliver targeted pre-employment training to support participants into employment and traineeships with local traffic management in the Darling Downs Employment Region.
Rail Career Pathway Program Energy Skills Queensland Inc. Sarina Russo Job Access     This activity involves a pre-employment program with entry pathways into the rail industry. Participants will be reskilled and upskilled into roles through work readiness, rail industry skills training, on the job work experience, mentoring, job placement support and jobs and apprenticeships. The activity will deliver pre-employment accredited training to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) participants into rail industry employers in the Darling Downs Employment Region.
Train2Earn Program Accommodation Association of Australia CoAct Connect and Busy At Work This activity involves a pre-employment program with entry pathways into the hospitality industry. Participants are matched to jobs with host employers by way of skills development and transferrable job readiness skill sets. The activity will deliver intensive housekeeping and beverage training to support participants into employment with industry employers in the Darling Downs Employment Region.
