Local Recovery Funds

A Local Recovery Fund is available in the Wide Bay and Sunshine Coast region for projects that meet the priorities identified in the Local Jobs Plan.

Projects will be identified for funding through periodic Request for Proposals (RFP).

Please contact your local Employment Facilitator for information about the Local Recovery Fund and to discuss project proposals.

Wheels for the Future Regional Training Services QLD Pty Ltd MAX Employment/td> The activity involves a mobile training facility capable of delivering practical, hands on training directly to 30 regional job seekers to improve their work readiness and skill them for local jobs in the tyre and accessory fitting sector of the automotive industry. The activity will deliver training to up to 30 disadvantaged young people, supporting them to complete relevant and essential practical automotive industry skills training and secure employment within the Wide Bay and Sunshine Coast Employment Region.
The Enhanced Agricultural Pathways Program Pine Rivers, Caboolture and Redcliffe Group Training Scheme Inc. t/a East Coast Apprenticeships  Sarina Russo Job Access The activity involves skilling young people for a job in the Agricultural Industry. The activity will deliver industry specific training and work placements for up to 12 disadvantaged young people to support them to complete training, work placements, and further education in the Agricultural industry in the Wide Bay and Sunshine Coast Employment Region.
Cutting-Edge Timber Training     MAX Solutions Pty Ltd Max Employment This activity involves a tailored pre-employment training program aimed at meeting employer needs and providing participants a start in the timber industry. The pre-employment program includes a Certificate II in Saw Milling, and familiarisation through placement in a paid work trial in timber mills in the Maryborough area. The activity will deliver training targeting young people, mature aged, male, and female participants, and is designed to attract people to the timber industry.
Game On Maxima Training Group (Aust) Ltd Job Futures
(CoAct Connect and Community Solutions and CoAct Connect and Impact)
This activity involves a three-week program blending youth oriented recreational activities including boxing and/or videogaming with employment service activities. It will seek to engage 20 participants from the youth cohort in the Wide Bay and Sunshine Coast Employment Region. The intention of the activity is to progress participants toward employment by providing an incentivised program that develops routine, builds confidence and progressively introduces jobs seeking activities. It aims to engage and link participants with opportunities for employment via apprenticeships and traineeships, or regular employment opportunities by partnering with employers into an accredited training course in conjunction with the participant’s employment services provider.
