Local Recovery Funds

A Local Recovery Fund is available in the Murray and South East region for projects that meet the priorities identified in the Local Jobs Plan.

Projects will be identified for funding through periodic Request for Proposals (RFP).

Please contact your local Employment Facilitator for information about the Local Recovery Fund and to discuss project proposals.

South East Community Services Training Project Boandik Lodge Incorporated Job Prospects This activity provides training and employment opportunities for 17 participants and delivery of mentor and support training to 50 existing staff members, including those from non-English speaking backgrounds. This program also includes developing and delivering a training program for disability support staff; developing, and delivering hotel services pre-employment program; developing, and delivering an on-the-job employability skills program in aged care.
Upcycle Employment Options Inc Inner North Group Training This activity is a pre- employment program to prepare participants for employment in the Retail, Tourism and Hospitality sectors. The activity will be delivered in partnership with Murray Bridge Council and the Brinkley ReUse Centre. Participants attending will operate a Coffee Lounge and Retail Store at the Centre and will undertake accredited training, receive mentoring, career guidance and job search assistance. Participants without a driving permit will be assisted to gain a Learner's Permit.

Australian Red Cross Society SYC Inc- Job Prospects This activity involves 50 Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) people from migrant and refugee backgrounds in the Limestone Coast. Participants will receive pre-employment support and training, together with driver mentor support to attain their Driver's Licence, resulting in a better opportunity to gain meaningful employment.
