Local Recovery Funds

A Local Recovery Fund is available in the Inner Metropolitan Melbourne region for projects that meet the priorities identified in the Local Jobs Plan.

Projects will be identified for funding through periodic Request for Proposals (RFP).

Please contact your local Employment Facilitator for information about the Local Recovery Fund and to discuss project proposals.

Magpie Next Generation Project Asuria People Services Job Prospects This activity includes a mentoring and training pathway project delivered by Asuria People Services in Inner Metropolitan Melbourne. Targeting young people, women impacted by domestic violence and job seekers from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, the program will upskill up to 100 participants, supporting them to better meet the needs of local employers.
Hospitality Employment Pathways Program SisterWorks Incorporated Jobfind Centres Australia Pty Ltd The Activity involves the delivery of a six-week pre-employment and practical skills training course aligned to the meet the skill requirements of local hospitality employers. The Activity will prepare 60 female Participants from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) backgrounds – including Participants from recent migrant, asylum-seeker or refugee backgrounds – for roles in the hospitality sector and will include practical work experience placements with local hospitality businesses. The activity is run by SisterWorks Incorporated.
Entry into Care Roles Program National Disability Service Limited Workskil The activity involves pre-employment training on the key requirements for disability care sector roles for up to 60 participants. The activity will target youth, culturally and linguistically diverse and Indigenous jobseekers and aims to secure employment outcomes for up to 40 participants with local disability sector employers.
Technology Employment Pathway Generation Australia Ltd Jobfind Centres Australia Pty Ltd This activity will support participants through one of three digital training streams linked to skills in demand. Participants will undertake a 12 to 14 week entry level online training program in web, Cloud or Salesforce skills. 
Participants that graduate from the activity will be assisted into employment pathways with identified employers.
Project Shared Outcomes     The Creative Co-Operation Pty Ltd Workskil Australia Inc. This activity will equip Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) women with skills for employment in the digital sector. The activity includes training focused on entry level digital skills, mentoring and work experience for high scoring participants. Participants will work on simulated projects involving the design and launching of a digital campaign. The supplier will employ 5 participants from the work experience cohort and match 10 with employers from the supplier’s network. For participants not progressing to the work experience stage, the supplier will facilitate access to alternative supports.
