Local Recovery Funds

A Local Recovery Fund is available in the Great Southern – Wheatbelt region for projects that meet the priorities identified in the Local Jobs Plan.

Projects will be identified for funding through periodic Request for Proposals (RFP).

Please contact your local Employment Facilitator for information about the Local Recovery Fund and to discuss project proposals.

Solid Foundations Program Impact Services Pty Ltd atWork Australia This activity aims to improve the confidence and employability of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Participants in the region. The activity includes group-based soft skills training, one on one culturally appropriate support for Participants and industry excursions to promote career pathways in hospitality, agriculture and factory processing work.
Care Sector Work Ready Indigenous Professional Services Pty Ltd Skill Hire WA Pty Ltd This activity involves pre-employment, mentoring and cultural support for Aboriginal Participants in the region. The activity will focus on developing soft skills and relevant technical skills and includes a cultural immersion experience to prepare Participants for employment and/or traineeships in the aged care and disability sectors.
Wanderer Program McGovern Foundation Ltd Atwork Australia Pty Ltd

This activity provides support and assistance to participants who are looking to obtain their driver's licence to help build a pathway to sustainable employment. Assistance will be provided to access safe vehicles, obtain a learner's permit, complete the supervised driving requirements, complete the practical driving assessment, and learn basic vehicle maintenance and safety. The activity will also provide mentoring and assistance to address other personal barriers that participants may have.
