After some time in the workforce, Paul suddenly found himself out of work and facing the challenge of re-entering a competitive job market. Despite his experience, repeated rejections left him feeling disheartened. That changed when he enrolled in the Career Transition Assistance (CTA) program, which helped him rebuild his confidence and secure a new role.

Finding a new approach

Paul has a background in IT and logistics, bringing valuable experience to potential employers. When his job applications and interviews weren’t leading to success, he began to reassess his approach. He recognised that while his technical expertise was valuable, he needed to better present his experience, highlight his strengths and tailor his responses to employer expectations.

Turning setbacks into strengths

Determined to move forward, Paul worked closely with his facilitator to build confidence and more clearly align his skills with job criteria. Through personalised coaching and a series of mock interviews, he learned how to structure his responses and communicate his strengths effectively. This support helped restore his confidence and prepare him for future opportunities.

“The CTA program and my facilitator’s empathetic guidance – both during the course and months after – helped me overcome hurdles, build confidence, and succeed in my role.”

From rejections to career renewal

Paul’s persistence paid off when he secured an analytics role, marking a major milestone in his career. Now, he’s building on his experience and continuing to grow professionally, supported by the confidence and skills gained through the CTA program.
