Workers impacted by the closure of Tahmoor Mine are invited to attend a Tahmoor Mine Employment Support Hub located in Tahmoor and Wollongong to access advice, support and information.
Representatives from government and support organisations will be available to assist with:
• Employment and job opportunities
• Training and reskilling options
• Financial and income support
• Career advice and job search assistance
• Local services available to support you and your family
Who should attend?
Former Tahmoor Mine employees, contractors and/or their families who are seeking information, support or assistance following the mine’s closure.
No appointment is necessary — simply drop in during the opening hours.

Employment Support - Online information session
An online information session will soon be scheduled, to explain the free supports and services available to help you find a new job, access training and upskilling opportunities and get financial wellbeing support.
The date and time of the session will be listed here as soon as possible and the link will be circulated to you by email.
Help with finding work
Immediate assistance is available to all retrenched workers to help you find a job, access training or help you decide on your next steps.
Below is a list of the types of support available to help you find work as quickly as possible.
Free support with:
| Workforce Australia is the Australian Government’s employment service. If you have been retrenched, you and your partner can access immediate support up to 3 months before and up to 6 months after your retrenchment date.
