Pulse Checks are undertaken by the NCIF every 6 months at NCIF meetings to measure progress against the NCIF Blueprint. Pulse Checks provide a snapshot of progress against Blueprint recommendations and enable the NCIF to monitor industry performance and outcomes across the four Blueprint threads (safety, culture, productivity and sustainability).
On 15 June 2026, the NCIF undertook its first Pulse Check, reflecting progress since the Blueprint’s endorsement in September 2025. Since endorsement, 7 of the 9 priority recommendations have commenced. The Pulse Check also captures enabling work underway across the broader Blueprint, including engagement with states and territories, and work to strengthen regulatory cooperation, including through improved information sharing.
