Roles:

  • Ten positions as a disability support worker in Gosford, New South Wales.
  • Employment is permanent part-time at $33.41 per hour, minimum of 15-25 hours per week.

Two face-to-face candidate information sessions will be available:

  • Noon – 1 pm AEST Wednesday 7 May 2025, or
  • 2 pm – 3 pm AEST Friday 9 May 2025.

If you are with Workforce Australia Services or Transition to Work and are interested in finding out more about this project, ask your provider to refer you to one of the above information sessions.

Alternatively, register your interest with the employer by filling out the online form: Info Session Registration. Keep in mind, you have to be 18 years or over and registered with a Workforce Australia Services or Transition to Work provider to participate in a Launch into Work project.

Candidates who want to participate in the project will be asked to:

  • submit a written expression of interest by Monday 12 May 2025
  • participate in an activities centre on Wednesday 14 May 2025.

Job description

Tasks involved:

  • Assist with the daily care of clients.
  • Perform housekeeping duties including cleaning, food preparation and shopping.
  • Monitor or administer medication.
  • Guide and encourage clients to live independently.
  • Perform administrative duties e.g. client files and case reviews.

The employer is looking for people who:

  • have good verbal and written communication skills for the work environment
  • are passionate about supporting people with disability
  • have awareness of and/or interest in all aspects of disability care and support work
  • have the ability to work in a team and follow Trilogy Disability policies and procedures
  • have the ability to stand for periods of time and conduct cardiopulmonary resuscitation.

Prerequisites required:

  • Valid driver's licence (P plates acceptable)
  • 100 points of identity documents
  • Willing to undertake a national police check, working with children check and National Disability Insurance Scheme worker screening check.
  • Must have had COVID-19 vaccination.

  • First aid and CPR training.
  • Workplace visits and job shadowing supported by a workplace buddy.
  • Mentoring to support your success during the project and when you commence in employment.
