Job description

Tasks involved:

  • Monitoring activities through the use of CCTV.
  • Concierge duties (e.g. at the reception desk of an office building).
  • Access control (e.g. checking identification cards).
  • Customer service security.
  • Assessing all alarms, incidents, and emergencies, and providing the appropriate response.
  • Ensuring safety on site and that rules/procedures are followed across all visitors.
  • Writing incident reports and following up on relevant tasks in a timely manner.
  • Maintain site logbooks.

The employer is looking for people who:

  • identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander
  • have good customer service skills and the ability to liaise with stakeholders in a professional manner
  • have good verbal and written communication skills
  • are well presented.

Prerequisites required:

  • Able to sit or stand for long periods of time.
  • Basic Language Literacy and Numeracy skills.
  • Basic digital literacy skills.
  • Must have valid identification documents (100 points) required to obtain a security licence.
  • Must return a satisfactory National Police and Fingerprint Check.
  • Valid C Class Driver’s Licence is beneficial but not essential.

Project details

Duration: 4 weeks upfront training then weekly mentoring and site visits to Wilsons Security locations for up to 6 weeks (while waiting for security licences to be issued)
