Roles:
- Carpentry apprenticeship and labourer positions, with multiple employers across the Sydney Greater West region, NSW
- Mix of permanent full-time and permanent part-time roles
- At or above award pay rates

Job description
Tasks involved:
- Collaborating and learning from qualified tradespeople and experienced colleagues
- Reading drawings/plans, measuring and marking out (for example, measuring and marking lengths of timber for a deck)
- Digging, moving and organising construction materials and using hand tools (basic carpentry techniques – frameworks, cutting, shaping etc.)
- Site set up and cleanup
- Following safety protocols
- Working across a range of work sites across Sydney
The employers are looking for people who:
- have a genuine interest in carpentry
- have the physical fitness required for the role
- are keen to learn
- are reliable and punctual
- can follow instructions
- have attention to detail
- are willing to work in a variety of indoor and outdoor environments
- can work in a team.
Prerequisites required for all roles:
- Must be aged 18 years or over
- Must pass a drug and alcohol test
- Must be able to get to and from work independently
Additional requirements for some of the roles:
- Must have the identity documents required to complete a National Criminal History check and return a satisfactory National Criminal History check. The project coordinator will organise and pay for this check if you are shortlisted for a role requiring this.
- Must have the identity documents required to complete a Working with Children check. The project coordinator will organise and pay for this check if you are shortlisted for a role requiring this.
- Must have a driver’s licence (minimum of Provisional) and a car for roles that require working offsite on building sites.
