Employment entitlements

  • The Fair Work Ombudsman can help you understand your workplace rights, including your entitlements and the laws, agreements, and awards that apply to you.
  • The Australian Taxation Office provides important information about taxation and superannuation.

Financial assistance and advice

  • Payment and Service Finder: Australian citizens and permanent visa holders aged over 22 and under pension age may be eligible for income support payments. You’ll need a copy of your termination or consultation letter and your last payslip. Apply online or call 132 850.
  • Financial Information Service (FIS): Services Australia offers a free Financial Information Service that is available to everyone. Call 132 300 to access this support.
  • Financial Counselling: If you’re worried about your financial situation, you can speak to a financial counsellor through the National Debt Helpline on 1800 007 007 or the Mob Strong Debt Helpline for Indigenous Australians on 1800 808 488.

Wellbeing support

  • Beyond Blue: Call 1300 224 636 for mental health support.
  • Lifeline Australia: Call 13 11 14 for crisis support and counselling.
  • Headspace: Mental health support for young people aged 16 to 25. Call 1800 650 890.
