To support the future growth and prosperity of our nation, the Australian, State and Territory governments are committed to improving the vocational education and training (VET) system through Skills Reform.
The Heads of Agreement for Skills Reform sets out immediate reforms to improve the VET system. It outlines an approach and priorities for developing a new National Skills Agreement. This will ensure that Australians can access high quality and relevant training, to ensure they have the skills to take on the jobs that emerge through the next decade and beyond.
As part of public consultations on the immediate reforms, VET stakeholders were invited on the Skills Reform website to provide submissions in response to the Improving industry engagement and reforming qualifications in Vocational Education and Training discussion paper.
The submission process is now closed. Submissions were open from 14 December 2020 to 1 March 2021. There were 114 completed submissions to the paper. The Department thanks those who made a submission.
Where permission was granted to publish responses, these submissions are now available below. Please note that where an individual has listed their organisation, the submissions may not represent the organisation's views.
