Filling a vacancy
If you are scaling up your workforce, the Jobs Hub can connect you with the support you need to get your workforce on board. For more information visit the department's Jobs Hub website.
The Workforce Australia wage subsidy is a financial incentive up to $10,000 (including GST) that businesses may be able to access to hire eligible individuals.
Skills and Training Incentive
The Skills and Training Incentive can provide up to $2,200 (including GST) to jointly fund training for mature age workers to update their skills and stay in the workforce longer. The employer or the individual must also contribute towards the costs of training to ensure a joint investment in the individual’s skill development.
To be eligible for the Incentive, individuals must have completed a Skills Checkpoint assessment that identifies training linked to an occupation in national shortage or with a future demand rating at or above the economy average on the Jobs and Skills Australia’s Skills Priority List. See Skills Priority List.
Visit Skills Checkpoint for Older Workers Program to find out more about the Skills Checkpoint.
