Local Recovery Funds
A Local Recovery Fund is available in the Fitzroy region for projects that meet the priorities identified in the Local Jobs Plan.
Projects will be identified for funding through periodic Request for Proposals (RFP).
Please contact your local Employment Facilitator for information about the Local Recovery Fund and to discuss project proposals.

This activity involves Participants completing nonaccredited pre-employment units, followed by individually tailored mentoring to gain and retain employment in the Fitzroy Employment Region. Culturally appropriate mentoring will be provided to Participants though the Actional Yarns Program, with habit and behaviour change coaching activities designed to improve Participant’s engagement and employability skills. The supplier will work with local employers to source suitable employment opportunities. It is expected that 60 per cent of Participants will identify as Indigenous Australians. |

MAX Employment |
This activity is a pre-employment program for participants providing intensive support, coaching, employability skills training and mentoring with job placement support and pathway development for a range of local employment and training opportunities. The activity will develop Individual Client Plans to engage participants through to paid employment for a minimum of 20 hours per week within social enterprise community services or through a supported pathway to a range of employment and training opportunities in the Fitzroy Employment Region. |

This activity involves up to 28 Indigenous Australian or Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) participants completing unaccredited job readiness training, followed by a Certificate III in Rail Infrastructure and work experience to gain paid employment with Fitzroy Employment Region rail industry employers. |

This activity is a tailored 8 week pre-program in the health care and social sector for to up to 30 participants. The aim is to upskill participants by way of selected industry relevant life skill and individual support units with practical exposure to workplace requirements and mentoring. The activity will deliver two tranches (15 per tranche), one in Rockhampton and one in Gladstone to participants into entry level roles such as administration, cleaning, landscaping, transport, laundry and kitchen hand with disability and aged care agencies in the Fitzroy Employment Region. |
